Fukushima, Ken

Ken completed his graduate thesis "Mendacity (City of Lies)" at Cranbrook Academy of Art where he studied under Daniel Libeskind. Ken was awarded a Canada Council Arts Award for Architecture in 1995 for his "Calendar Room / Map of One Year " Project. His drawings have been published and exhibited in Canada, the United States and Europe, and he has participated as a visiting artist and design critic at art and architecture schools in Toronto, Ottawa, Philadelphia and London.

Since 1985, Ken has worked with Moffat Kinoshita Architects (MKA), a major architectural practice in Toronto, where he has been involved as Designer or Project manager on numerous design award-winning cultural, educational and institutional projects as an Associate, and now Principal of the film. Since its founding in 1965, the work of MKA has been recognized with over 50 design awards. Ken was Senior Designer for the Art Gallery of Winsor (Moffat Kinoshita / Reich+Petch Joint Venture Architects), winner of a 2003 Ontario Association of Architects Design Award. In 2000-2002, Ken was Project Manager for a major cultural facility that MKA undertook with internationally renowned Indian Architect, Charles Correa.
